Anne Scarano
Ms. Scarano has been an instructor for D.E.R. for the past two years, teaching the Verbal and Analytical sections of the GRE and GMAT. She holds an A.B. in English from Vassar College and an M.A.T., in English Education from Brown University. She has worked as a legislative assistant on Capitol Hill, an instructor and outreach coordinator for the Close Up Foundation, an English teacher in Prince William County, and a Technology Specialist at Virginia Tech University.
Ms. Scarano has special interests in developmental reading and composition. For the past year, D.E.R. has retained Mrs. Scarano to conduct training of new instructors for the Test Prep courses, and she continues to assist with test prep curriculum formation.
"I teach because I like challenging people to recognize their unique perspectives, diverse purposes, and varied learning styles. My aim is to help students identify what they already know, what they want to know, and what they need to do to discover the greatness that is within them all."
