Diagnostic & Educational Resources, Inc. (D.E.R.) has been actively promoting excellence in education since 1991 for the metropolitan Washington, D.C. area. D.E.R. was actually an outcome of Mrs. Annette Spector's private practice out of McLean, Virginia that began in 1985. Mrs. Spector recognized, early on, a void in the education community for personalized and structured testing, consulting, and diagnostic services.

With that in mind, 
D.E.R. was created to specifically focus on four areas:

Test Preparation Services: D.E.R. conducts test preparation courses, for GMAT, GRE, LSAT, Math Review at various locations in the D.C. area.

Educational Consulting Services: D.E.R. provides parent advocacy services including assistance for and participation in public school special education eligibility processes, school placement issues, working with classroom teachers on adaptive and compensatory teaching techniques, and accommodations, homework issues, etc.

Diagnostic Testing Services: D.E.R. provides a full range of educational, cognitive, and perceptual testing including tests for learning disabilities, learning styles assessments, achievement and gifted testing, kindergarten readiness, and screenings for ADHD.

Tutoring Services: D.E.R. provides individualized remedial instruction or enrichment for any of the following subjects: Reading, Written Language, Mathematics, Study Skills and Organizational/Time Management Skills. We work with students of all ages, from preschoolers getting ready for kindergarten to elementary and high school students needing help in specific subjects.
